For two consecutive hours, Undercurrent Company and community members activated the public street beneath the iconic Pike Place Market entryway. A project of endurance and dedication, performers investigated the beauty of a single idea, practiced with a seamless, fluid, and muscular continuity. An exploration of rigor, sweat, stamina, endurance, re-setting, re-investing, witnessing self in durational work, witnessing others in durational work. An endless flow of bodies, moving across hot pavement in a slow, forward crawl: hips elevated & knees hovering.
The consistent labor of performers was underpinned and upheld by live DJing from local music artist Marco Gill.
